Problem

How to update internal styles (.LIN or .RSC file needed)

Product: MicroStation V8 2004 Edition
Version: 08.05.02.35

Solution

Make changes in the definition file (LIN or RSC) and import into file.

With RSC file:
1a. Open RSC file in editor (Element > Linestyles > Custom).
1b. Open LIN file to edit (in Notepad for example).
2. Make needed changes.
3. Save RSC/LIN file.
4. Open Linestyle Editor (Element > Linestyles > Edit).
5a. Go to File > Import... > Autocad Line Style File (LIN)...
5b.Go to File > Import... > MicroStation Resource File (RSC)...
6. Select style(s) to import.
7. Accept to overwrite.
