How to move elements to different Z elevation?
There are many tried and True Methods for moving elements to a desired Z elevation.Here is a list of the most common:Use Align Edges1. Select the elements with a Fence or selection set.2. Start the Align Edges tool. (go to Tools>Main>Manipulate); set the Alignment to "Top".3. Select the Base Element (the element at the desired elevation).Notes:- Useful if an element is already at the desired elevation.- The selected elements will move to the same elevation as the base element.Use Element Information (V8i and later).1. Select element.2. Start "Element Information" (pulldown, Element > Information).3. Go to "Geometry" section.4. Adjust "Elevation" as needed.Note: This only works well for "flat" elements.Export to 2D1. Go to File > Export > 2D2. Give the file a name and location.3. Click OK.Use Civil/Site Tools (Bentley Supported).1. Download from the Bentley Library site:CivTools for MicroStation V8 2004 Edition2. Install and run MDL application per instructions.3.
