How to apply a Dimension Style to dimensions that are existing in a drawing, but have no associated Dimension Style

Background

If you want to update dimensions in an existing drawing, and have these dimensions display with the same size, font, layout etc. etc., it can be achieved by creating a Dimension Style and then applying that Style to the existing dimensions. This can be useful when the drawing(s) contain(s) many dimensions.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Expand the Element Selection tool by clicking on the small arrow (see Image 1)
  2. Click on the Element Class Tab and choose Dimensions from list (see Image 2)
  3. This will select all the dimensions in the drawing
  4. Now use the Change Dimension Tool (see Image 3)
  5. Select the new Dimension Style you wish to apply from the Change Dimension tool settings box that opens and apply the change by left clicking once in the view

This should change all dimensions in the model to the new Dimension Style.
