Error or Warning Message

On editing text in a DGN drawing, MicroStation freezes, crashes and closes.

It happens on all text when using the Word Processor text editor, but when using Key-In or Dialog Box, it will only crash on some of the text blocks.

Issue occurs when using the following:

• Microstation version 08.11.07.443
• Windows version: Windows 7 64 bit
• internet explorer version 10.0.9200.16635
• Bentley fonts                            

A message then appears before it crashes, saying “incompatible text editor used”.

Explanation

Issue is due to the fact that Internet Explorer 10 is being used with Microstation Select Series2.

How to Avoid

Reinstall older version of Internet Explorer 8, in order to resolve the issue.
