 Product:MicroStation
 Version:CONNECT, 2023
 Environment:N\A
 Area:Annotations
 Subarea:Font Installer

Overview

The Font Utilities tool can be used to view existing RSC files to help you find an existing font you may be searching for within an RSC file.  You can still move fonts from one file to another and edit the font number to avoid conflicts with other font numbers.  You can view a font to see what characters are in that font for use in the dgn file.  Use the Key-In below to open this dialog box.

***Please Note ***

This application is only intended to help with your current need to use or modify a custom RSC font.
The best practice for future releases of MicroStation is to use True Type Fonts (TTF) when a current RSC font does not meet your needs.

Font Utilities can be loaded running the following Key-in command:
mdl load fontutilities; font utilities dialog

After that, the Font Utilities dialog will be loaded and you can load RSC files and review their fonts:

From there, it is a simple identification of the source and target RSC files and then a drag and drop.
