Problem:

How to Fix License Management Tool missing shortcut after installing AutoPIPE?

Missing Shortcut

Windows is searching for Licensetool.exe. To locate the file yourself, click Browse?

Solution:

Search the following folder locations for "Licensetool.exe" :

a. "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\IEG\IEGLCS\"

b. "C:\Bentley\AutoPIPE V8i SELECTseries\"

c. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION client\"

Double click on the "Licensetool.exe" file name to start the application.

OK, now modify the Icon to be linked to this program.

Right click on the "License Management Tool" icon in the start menu or on the desktop, select the Properties option at the bottom of the listing. The following dialog will appear:

Change the Target field based on the path name to the "Licensetool.exe" file location above, (examples)

a. "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\IEG\IEGLCS\LicenseTool.exe"

b. "C:\Bentley\AutoPIPE V8i SELECTseries\LicenseTool.exe"

c. "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION client\LicenseTool.exe"

d. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT\LicenseTool.exe"

Note: Remember that the License Management Tool can be started from within the AutoPIPE application.
