Problem:

How to split an existing reducer into 2 reducers joined back to back?

Solution:

In the example below the 24x10  reducer as shown needs to be slit into 2 reducers - 24x16 and 16x10.

Click on the grid view and select the right point on the reducer (C03) and click on Modify>Convert Point to>Run.

This converts the reducer to a run of the same length as the reducer. Next insert a run from C03 for the length of the 16x10 reducer (eg. 1.42), this splits the run into 2 segments:

Select the new run section C03-C11 and click on Modify > Pipe Properties Over Range and create a Pipe Identifier (if one already does not exist) eg. 16 in. for a 16 inch pipe.

Change also the C11-C04 pipe range to 16 in. Now both the sections C03 to C11 and C11 to C04 have been changed to 16 in pipe size:

Now click on C04 and insert a reducer and make sure the direction is correct eg. in our case the Z-axis is located pointing towards left and we select the point C04 which is the larger diameter side so we will select insert "Before" and in the direction enter ONLY the actual value of the length (do not put -ve, the DZ coordinate will be adjusted accordingly and as can be seen has been made -ve by the program:

Click OK and then OK again. Next follow the same procedure and insert a reducer by selecting the point C03 which lies on the 10 in line. This time we would input insert "After":

This completes the model with the original single reducer now being replaced by 2 reducers joined together:

The points can be renumbered if desired.
