Problem:

I have a HDPE pipe built in AutoPIPE. When I go to Results then Code Stresses then select "N-755-1" from the Code drop down menu, I have a few load combinations to choose from, but I need a new combination which is "GR + Max P + T1".

In order to add the new combination I go to Tools then Combinations, then I can create the new combination in "Code Comb." or "Non-Code Comb." tabs.

I tried to add the new combination in both of these tabs but it doesn't show up in the drop down menu afterwards (see the same attached file as above)

How to correctly creat a new user combination to show up for N-55-1 Code drop down?

Solution:

The secrete to this issue is to create the new user combination within the correct Category of combinations.

Note, when creating a new user defined Code combination the Category must be set correctly. In order to have the combination show up when N-755-1 is selected above, the combination category must start with PE.., select one of the appropriate category options:

EXAMPLE:

See that a new Code combination (ex. TEST) was added to the model where the Category was set to PE Exp.

Now when selecting Results> Code Stresses> set code = N-755-1, the TEST code combination is listed as expected.
