Problem:

Where would the Stress Summary information be stored for a model, in the CMB file?

Solution:

No, the Stress Summary settings are not stored in the model's CMB file. Stress Summary data is stored in the filename.XML file.

One can copy these files to different folders and use them for a different model, by using the following process:

a. All the load cases used in the Stress Summary of the first model must appear in the second model.

Example:

If  T1, T2, SAM are used in the Stress Summary of the first model, then the same load cases (ex. T1, T2, and SAM) must be assigned and configured in the second model before proceeding.

b. Analyze the second model before proceeding.

c. The XML filename used for the second model has correct name.

Example

After making adjustments in the second model as mentioned above, close all AutoPIPE models. Next, locate the first model's XML file (ex. Pipe routing A.XML) typically found in the same folder as the model, copy it, navigate to the folder when the second model is located, paste it there, rename the newly pasted file (ex. Pipe routing B.XML), now open the 2nd model in AutoPIPE, and Presto!! confirm the Stress Summary settings have been assigned and are correct.
