How to Map New AutoPLANT Component

Background

AutoPLANT component class needs to be properly mapped to the most suitable component classes available in the Open PLANT 3D schema to avoid below posted situations.

Case1

User tried to create Isometrics model via OpenPlant Isometrics Manager and got error message about component which is not mapped in EC schema.

Steps to Accomplish:

  1. Click on Piping>Database Tools>View Database.


  2. Search for Class Name mentioned in Error message


  3. In Class Editor, open schema OpenPlant_3D.01.04.ecschema.xml.
  4. Supplement it with OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.04.ecschema.xml.
  5. Select required class and under AutoPLANT_PDW_Class_Map custom attribute, add required class name and its module name. See image below.


  6. Save Schema, extract isometrics and verify the results.
  7. Isometrics gets generated without any error.

Case2

User has created a new AutoPLANT Gauge component class AT_GAUGE_HORIZ and wants to map it in the Open PLANT 3D schema.
             

Steps to Accomplish

  1. In Class Editor, open schema OpenPlant_3D.01.04.ecschema.xml. and supplement it with OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.04.ecschema.xml.
  2. Search for Gauge class, type GAUGE in search option. See image below


  3. Expand Gauge Class to select 'Pressure Gauge' class. Under Autoplant_PDW_Class_Map custom attribute, add class name AT_GAUGE_HORIZ and module name AT_INSTR. See image below.


  4. Save Schema, extract isometrics and verify the results.
  5. Isometrics gets generated without any error.
