In OpenPlant Modeler, use of UBR/RBR types of branch is used through Branch table present in Specification Generator.

Background

With the use of Specification generator, there is an option to define the branch types, such as UBR-RBR with Set-on/Stub-in types.
Following options are available:

With the use of Branch table, modeler should get below option to select the branch types:

a. UBR_SET_ON – Un-reinforced Branch – Set ON

b. UBR_STUB-IN – Un-reinforced Branch – STUB-IN

c. RBR_SET_ON –  Reinforced Branch – Set ON

d.  RBR_STUB-IN – Reinforced Branch – STUB-IN

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Open Plant Specification Generator & select project unit.

  2. Choose to load a spec through File menu option.

  3. After loading the spec, it will enable the Branch table editor to proceed for the modification in branch table.

  4. Select ‘Branch table Editor’ Option from ‘Tools’ menu.

  5. From drop down menu option, modeler should get default branch codes in drop down box. To select multiple branch code for the branch size, choose ‘…’ option to select from the list.

Note: For new branch codes, modeler could check ‘Branch Code editor’ option to add more entries in drop down list.

  6. Save & close the table and spec.

  7. Launch OpenPlant Modeler.

  8. After filling up the table with proper Branch code, modeler could be able to place it in OPM by enabling ‘ Auto Branch Table’ option.

  9. Also enable ‘Show Spec Grid for Auto Tables’ option to show all the list of entries done in branch table.

  10. While placement it will prompt Modeler to select these options.
