In Specification Generator, some of the components classes required to be shown under branch table.

Background

With the use of Specification generator, Branch Table is being used to pick branch olet, Tees , couplings etc automatically. In Branch Table, user has an option to select these branched components. Branch Table grid carries a drop down list to allow user to picks type of components which suits the requirement. Drop down option does not have a class name to pick, but a branch code that can represent one or more classes. The list if code present inside the drop down list depends on the component of that size present inside the spec. below steps describes the requirement of adding a  half coupling inside the Model. .

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Open Plant Specification Generator & select project unit.

  2. Choose to load a spec through File menu option.

  3. Launch Branch Code editor.

  4. Check on ‘Show All Classes’. It will show list of all classes present here by default.

  5. Search for ‘HALF_COUPLING’.

  6. Assign Code as HC. User may assign any logical code appear in Branch Table.

  7. Hit ‘OK’

  8. Open Branch Table.

  9. Select Header Size and Branch Size as per Coupling size. Say DN100 XDN 100 for default spec mEX-OPM.

  10. Also set other branch type placement say UBR/RBR set on by selecting ‘…’ 3 dots in drop down list. See image below.

  11. Click on ‘OK’. It will update spec sections.
