In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager new attributes will get added in PCF file.

Background

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, PCF file will be generated for other systems software and hence it is required to have desired attributes inside the PCF file. Below steps illustrates adding the new attributes inside the file. Below content has been described in context with OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.

Steps to Accomplish

To Add Drawing Attribute Tag Data

1. Launch OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. Use icon from desktop or user may navigate from Start>All Apps> Bentley>OpenPlant Isometrics Manager V8i.
   
   
   
2. Select Unit and load i-model to generate isometrics.
   
   
   
   
3. From IsoExtractor tool menu, click on Drawing Tag Data option. 
   
   
   
   
4. Check for attributes which is need to add in PCF file. E.g WALL_THICKNESS.
   
   
   
   Note: Attribute present inside the drawing tag can be read in PCF file under HDR section
   
   
5. Now add the same variable inside the PCF.INI file. It can be found under isometrics configurable folder under particular style. 
   

   Path to follow the default style IFC:
   C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\Projects\ OPModeler_Metric\DataSet\Isometrics\Styles\IFC\config

6. Add under Header specification as shown in below image for two attributes, namely WALL_THICKNESS and NUMBER. 
   
   
   
   
7. Save and Close this file.
   
   
8. Generate Isometrics and check the information in PCF file. See image below.
   
   

To Add Component Tag Data

1. Launch OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.
   
   
2. Select Unit and load i-model to generate isometrics.
   
   
3. From IsoExtractor tool menu, click on Component Tag Data option. 
   
   
   
   
4. Check for attributes which is need to add in PCF file. E.g COMPONENT_NAME.
   
   
   
   Note: Attribute present inside the Component tag can be read in PCF file under  Component Tag Section/Material section from SS6 Version
   
   
5. Now add the same variable inside the PCF.INI file. It can be found under isometrics configurable folder under particular style. 
   

   Path to follow the default style IFC:
   C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\Projects\ OPModeler_Metric\DataSet\Isometrics\Styles\IFC\config

6. Add few attributes like MANUFACTURER, NOMINAL_DIAMETER,  etc under Component data to produce Material section & few attributes like WEIGHT, COMPONENT_NAME under Article Data to produce under Component section as shown in below image.
   
   
   
   
7. Save and Close this file.
   
   
8. Generate Isometrics and check the information in PCF file. See image below.
