Overview

To create missing class data by converting it through specification generator.

Problem Description

With the use of Specification generator, under catalog editor, component table does not includes few classes which are present inside the default schema. User wanted to get it added inside the Catalog Editor. Below steps describes the process of adding it in table. This is the case for Mixed Metric Environment. User need to follow below steps on realizing the catalog information in specgen.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Launch Specification Generator and select working unit as Imperial ( As it has Flow Meter Entries).

  2. Go to File -> Unit Converter. See image below.

  3. From “Unit Converter Utility”, set the Target Unit to desired Project unit, say Mix Metric here.

  4. Select Source Catalog, say by navigation Non Standard Imperial catalog. Rename it to any logical name, say NS_FLOW_METER. By doing so it will convert the file to destination catalog folder without issue. And chose destination directory to save the converted catalog.

  5. This will create a new catalog to destination folder.

  6. Open new catalog created after conversion. Check if FLOW METER  is present.

  7. See image below:

  8. Copy table. See image below.

  9. Open desired catalog to paste the table. See image below.

  10. It will ask to copy whole Structure and Data. Click on OK with settings shown in below image.

  11. Also include table for FLOWMETER. See image below.

  12. Save and Close both catalog.

  13. Also open Catalog Editor and verify the data for FLOW_METER. See image below.

  14. Launch OpenPlant Modeler and place Flow Meter to verify. See image below.
