Background
When running Spec Validation Tool, some spec driven objects do not update properly. This may happen when any revision done. Below are a list of steps to alter the description of any spec driven component.
Steps to Accomplish
- Launch Open Plant Specification Generator change the long description to the desired setting.
- In this case we are changing or adding to the Long Description of a Bolt.
- Saved the spec and closed.
- Reopened OPM > Deleted one of the Bolt and Gasket sets > ran Check Connectivity and replaced the missing bolt and gasket.
- It now pulls info directly from the spec.
