To Populate EC_Class Name For Sight Glass

Overview

For AutoPLANT PDW catalog, Upgrade To OPM tool doesn’t populate EC_Class Name for Sight Glass. 

Problem Description

Using Upgrade to OPM tool for conversion of AutoPLANT PDW catalog format to OpenPlant Modeler format doesn’t populate EC_Class name for sight glass. This issue happens when proper mapping is not defined for specified class.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Launch Bentley Class Editor.

  2. Select your desired project say here metric project.

  3. Open OpenPlant_3D.01.07. ecschema.

  4. Supplement with below highlighted schemas & open.

  5. Navigate to SIGHT_GLASS class, notice that AutoPLANT_PDW_Catalog_Class_Map custom attribute is not defined.

  6. Right click on SIGHT_GLASS class, select Custom Attribute > Add/Remove.



  7. Select AutoPLANT_PDW_Catalog_Class_Map custom attribute, using drop arrow add this custom attribute.



  8. Ensure that location is set to OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Mapping_AutoPLANT as shown.



  9. Click on OK.

  10. Navigate to AutoPLANT_PDW_Catalog_Class_Map custom attribute. Right Click on ClassMapping > Add Element.

  11. Enter the fields as shown below.



    Table: Enter table name from where records will be picked for sight glass. In this case sight glass records are in MISC_FIT table in source (AutoPlant) catalog.
    Class Name: Enter class name for sight glass, defined in source catalog.
    Module name: Enter module name for sight glass, defined in source catalog.
    GType & SType: Enter Gtype & Stype value/name, defined in source catalog.

    Sample source catalog as shown below.



  12. Save all the settings.

  13. From SpecGen interface, run Upgrade To OPM & verify the result as shown.
