Where can I find Isogen Documentation?

The AutoPLANT Plant Design Install places a wealth of information about Isogen at your fingertips. After installing AutoPLANT go to the following folder:

..\Bentley\Plant XM\Help\Isogen\

There you will find files with specific help for Alternate Text within Isogen, Building User defined Symbols, and the full list of Option Switches available for modification of the default Isogen style.

How Can I Troubleshoot Problems with Isogen?

The document linked below has good suggestions to help you narrow down the source of some common problems running Isogen.

How Do I Determine What Version of Isogen I'm Using?

There is no Isogen executable that will report the version that is in use at any given time. The best way to determine the full version of Isogen on a machine is to browse to the folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\Plant XM\Isogen

Right-click on the file: Isogen.dll and choose Properties. Then select the Version tab. The full version of Isogen in use on that machine will be reported in that dialog. This can aid in resolving support issues when upgrades to the Isogen install are available.
