Please note that the BIM Add-in has been superseded by the commercial release of AECOsim Building Designer V8i SELECTseries 6 (ABD) and GenerativeComponents Extension V8i SELECTseries 6 (GC).  When installing GC into ABD, GC will automatically install an ABD-GC add-in which provides access to ABD's BIM element types through GC node types.  

The BIM Features for GenerativeComponents allows you to use GenerativeComponents to drive a host of Bentley Architecture elements.  It also provides parametric automation of the Drawing Extraction Manager, and adds the ability to store PartName and FamilyName properties on any GC Feature.

  Assign Bentley Architecture parts to your GC creations so they resymbolize properly in your drawings.
• Uses GC Namespaces
  To allow advanced users to classify feature instances and generated feature types. New features will show up as Bentley.Building.Wall, Bentley.Building.Beam, etc.

Downloading and Installation

BIM Features for GC requires the following software:

• Either of the following MicroStation GenerativeComponents V8i versions are supported.
