Hello all,
I have following in the text file which I want to import into a DGN.These are essentially GCP values and its identity.
There is a inbuilt tool in the geospatial software(not microstation) to import co-orinates but it has no option to label it along as well. Can anyone please guide me how to achive this in Microstation VBA macro ie.., labelling the imported co-ordinates.
Text file contents : Format :X,Y,Z and text Identity)62764.0571 33126.9329 66.312 GEP1160861.5575 33325.3461 54.381 GES10665744.0607 33273.2115 72.645 GES12167533.7716 33288.3923 71.244 GES124 My requirement is to place a circle at X,Y,Z and Label it with the rescpective text -Ex: "GEP11"....
thanks in advance.
James
Phil's suggestion to just use the Import Coordinates tool is spot on. An alternate solution is to use PLTPNT which is attached. Place it in the .../mdlapps/ folder and then key in MDL LOAD PLTPNT. The dialog is self explanatory, but note that you'll want to edit your input text file so that there are commas between the columns.
Happy Monday!
Hmmm... have you tried just using XYZ Text > Import Coordinates in straight MicroStation? In the Order picklist, there is an "X Y Z T" option that looks like it would do what you are describing (well... except that it just places the text at the X,Y,Z without the circle).
thanks very much Phil. I will try this.
Inga.................very much appreciated
