We are using without web server utility....

Scott,

I have a workaround solution for that.

I opened the V7 files with Bentley view and then plotted them.

Then i managed to do the design compare with V7 files.

So if you open V7 files with bentley view 8 or microststion8 and then do the plotting the problem was solved.

Hi,
Are you using design compare with ProjectWise Web server or without it? Can you provide us more details? What other products are you using? Please provide us exact versions. What OS are you using?

Parish, did you get an answer to your question? We are in the process of testing V8i and I hope we don't lose that function.

Hi,

We have Interplot server V8i installed.

When we try to plot dgn files using Microstation V7 and design compare them we get the following error.

Design Compare Error:
DprDiffLib Error: The file "E:\DigitalPlotting\DPRQueryResults\tmp\778826828\DIF5D.tmp" has no differencing metadata or the server ran out of disk space while writing the input file. You can not compare DPR files generated without metadata, DPR files generated via APLOT, DPR files created with the InterPlot MDL Printer Driver, or DWG/Raster/"Old DPR" files in an IPS file.

When we plotted the same files using Microstation V8 ,the design comparision worked successfully.

Can any one help me out of this????
