How to attach multiple rasters at once to the internal models ?

I have .dgn fil with few internal models and now I wanna add new raster for each.

Is it possible to attach multiple rasters at once to all of the internal models?

It would save me a lot of time.

  • Hi Aga,

Not sure I understand what you want to achieve. Do you want to attach multiples rasters to multiples models multiples time (i.e. : same raster attached to each internal models) or attach different rasters to different models?

I guess the second one is more plausible, unfortunately this is impossible because MicroStation requires to know which rasters need to be attached to which model. You can probably do that by programmation though.

Manually you still can do it without switching model/.dgn by activating one model at a time and attaching the rasters pertaining to that model.

  • Hi Mathieu,

    Thank you for reply.

Actually I was thinking about the first option, less complicated: 'same raster attached to each internal models'. I couldn't find that options when I tried attached my raster.
Is it possible or I must do this manually?

  • Hi Aga,

No this is not possible. Anyway not sure why you want to do that since if you have one .dgn with many referenced .dgn attached to it, it seems more logical to attach all the raster to one .dgn only (e.g. : the master .dgn).

If you attach all the raster to all model you will have each raster listed multiple times in Raster Manager, which will not be quite useful, not mentioned the decrease in performance lead by the loading of the same raster multiple times!

    Thanks,

    Mathieu
