Turnout placement .3?

In placement points there is .3 option. But can't hit apply.
In Help there is mentioned only .1 .0 .2

Is there some way to use .3?

  • As far as I know there is no way to use .3

The workflow is to place the turnout on a main track then connect another track or turnout using the connection editor.

No way to first place the turnout on a branch. It would mean: no bending (unknown main track), attachment using .3 and direction where .3 should be the start point of the existing branch to ensure connection and colinearity.

What you can do is placing the turnout in space using .3

Then you must set the tangential direction = direction at the connecting point (.3) on the branch

  • Just to add that you still need to use the connection editor to get the branch alignment from the toe of the alignment, through the turnout then to the branch. it should automatically present the connection from a turnout to an element.
I found an issue with by connecting element being twice in the final alignment. Easy to fix.
Also when placing in space you can set the radius to bend the turnout
