Creating profile and vertical alignment

Question

Hi, 
 I am new to Power Rail Track V8i (series 4), I read the Bentley Rail Track Fundamental Guide and followed the procedure mentioned. 
 Till now i have created the project defaults and project options, i have imported surface from graphics and created trangulations. i have also created the geometric alignment. In the first 3 attempts in 3 different project models when i was creating the profile using element method, i could create maximum 3 elements with 2 verical curves, then an alet came which stated 
 "You have unsaved changes. Would you like to save them now? 
 Automatic saving in <15> seconds 
 ok cancel" 
 once the saving is done, the InRail program does not select any element and becomes non responsive. I tried creating 3 seperate project models in different folders but the same thing happens. 
 Today when i create profile using the - Evaluation -> Profile -> Create profile option i see the ground profile but cannot see the grid/ axis in the display. Thereafter when i strat creating the vertical alignment using element method i cannot see any elements getting created. The aleat keeps coming back only when the vertical alingment profile option is on. 
 Please could anybody suggest me how to proceed and create the vertical alignment and also how to trun the alert of Automatic saving off.

I changed the seed file i.e. .xin and used the training bentley fundamental training seed file. The solution worked and i could complete the vertical alignment design and all the annotations.
