Add end condition from template?

Hello!

In my .itl there is one folder that is named "End Conditions".

Is there an option that can allow me to use or import template as end condition, or end condition exception ?

  • You can't change the template type. So you can't copy a template that is not an EC and change it to be EC. When you import a template from graphic you can choose.
So if you really need this, one way could be to apply the template in the corridor, use the command to display the template in the drawing (right click on the Xsection view in Roadway Designer, then import from graphic. Not sure it will save pain.

So there is difference in the template itself.

As I understand there are two types of template 1. normal 2.end condition.

And I can import end condition type template in End condition exceptions. But how to do it?

I can drag and drop, but the template is dragged from some centered point. Is there some more clever way?

And how i must create end condition type ? I must create it in this folder (End Conditions) or there is some requirements to the inner elements?

  • There are 4 types of components:

    1. Normal, constrained or not
    2. End conditions
    3. Null point
    4. Overlay/stripping

It can be stored in any folder in your template library it does not change the type of the component.

The differences between types are the properties available on the components.

End conditions exceptions are used to replace the end condition present in the template placed in Roadway Designer by another one.
So yes, it deals only with End Condition types. You are not allowed to replace anything else than an end condition. The replacement template must contain only end conditions.

You can drag the template from any point you can pick on the preview window. But usually the only green point of an end condition template is the origin. I have never worked with End Conditions templates where points are not constrained. So most of the time you can drag and drop the template and move it afterward.
