Existing track geometry at regular (5m or 10m intervals)?

Is it possible for BRT to produce a report that provides the existing track (CL) geometry at regular intervals (preferably 5m or 10m) rather than at the regression points?

    Yes

I think we can do this OK

This method probably works better if you can bring  your existing Right Hand and Left Hand rails in to your ALG. This means BRT can report off the actual 6ft interval as opposed to applying a calc yourself at the end of the process by subtracting a gauge. Bring in all you rails and ensure you have the set your stationing the way you want it.

Go to Tools - XML Reports and click on Regression and it will bring up this image

In your example (and in mine) we are looking at only two tracks. So we don't need to use the left hand track tick box at the top.

Assign a control track as your Horizontal CL for the alignment that is on the left hand side, then if you wish, define the right and left hand rails.

Assign a right side track as the Horizontal CL of track to the right of the control track and if you wish, define the left rail.

Untick the box for regression points and define your interval (5 or 10m)

Click apply. Then within the Report Browser scroll down to Existing Six Foot Report.xsl. On this report, stationed as per your control alignment, is the Control Tracks Right Rail, to Right Tracks Left Rail. See image below.

If you want to work in Track Centrelines - define only your Horizontal CLs in the Regression report for Control Track and Right Side track, run the report and look at the "SixFootHorizontal" report instead.

    Hope that helps
