  • See Options>Abrevations. But remember that midpoint of curve is not cardinal point for BRT, I think. And another thing... if you use events for your midpoints, what happen if you will change something in geometry (start station, radius for one of curves)???
  • Hay Richard,

I succed to create a horizontal events and  then display with View stationing.  But  I am wonder is it posible cardinal points to rename   with  Leters   in  my    language?  With  MS  that  is possible with change text  but  that is slowly way.

    Thanks

  • Dobi,

MicroStation can mark this point without constructing it! When you got accudraw active, try to press K letter on your keyboard, then set divisor to 2. It gives you mid points handle for every graphic element. Then use one of BRT tools to snap and place your note. Should work.

    Hay  Richard

I try to anotate the mid -curve point like Robert previosly said and get the stationig 402+076,516  with place note -single select.   The same stationing I get in the intersecton of the midlle  and big tangents  (PI's) .

But If I anotate the same point  with curve set anotation the same PI's  have a different stations  402+080.03 and 402+086.609

So for me the real stationing  is probably 402+076.516.

But the real problem is that I MUST first construct that point. The softwear not mark it.

Richard , my unik requirement is becouse You Know  American Rail Standards but there in the midlle in Europe ,We learn that the cardinal point on the curve are: TS,SC,CCC(mid point),CS,ST. So that my problem is mybe unike.

In my attach I display what I do .What will be Your coment?

    Thanks

  • I have never seen a requirement for defining a mid-arc point, but if you need to display it.  Then do the following:

    • Create a horizontal event point at the desired station
    • Display it with View Stationing and by turnoing on Event points

Or use Geometry > View > Station & Offset in interactive mode and disply the point that way.

  • I think it is not possible by simple automatic way. Try to use Place Plan Note funcionality - it is far more better than conctructing those points manualy.

    Regards

  • Hay Robert,

Maybe I didn't explained well what is my question. More  accurate is: the cardinal points on the curve are always annotate like TS, SC,CS and ST.   Is it posible softwear to annotate  the half of the curve ?

In my previos attach I draw what should I do to get that point.

I dont want the centar of the curve, but the coordinates and station of the point on half of  curve.

    Thanks

  • Dobi,

MicroStation and BRT are very accurate with placing elements, you can trust it. But why do you construct bisector??? You can snap to the mid point of your arc and get the coordinates. You can use MS or BRT tools for placing the coordinates.

MS - Label Coordinates (but you will not achieve station)

    BRT - Place Plan Note

:) I hope it answered your question.

  • CENTAR OF CURVE.doc

    Hay friends,

From our standards we must have annotate the point of centar of curve (x,y,z, station). In the horizontal report that point is not given. So I must construct angle bisector to get that point, but is it preciosly?

Have any way to get  that point on another way?Have anybody the same problem?

In my attach file that point is in rose cirkle.

    Thanks
