How To Place a Vertical Crossover Between inclined Tracks With Twist Rails

Hi all

I am having trouble placing a vertical crossover between 2 lines both of which are inclined.

I have a 2 line railway (an up and a dn).I have used a series of curves and transitions to design the dn main, and I have paralleled the dn geometry to the up using an offset of 3.405m.

I used 3.405m between the two centre lines because I wanted a standard 6ft of 1970 and the gauge was 1435 (inclined) hence why 3.405m was used.

The issue is that I want to place a crossover (CV 1 in 9.25) between the two lines however the crossover is vertical which means it has a gauge of 1432.

The issue I am having is trying to tell BRT that;-

  • The gauge outside of the crossover is 1.435m
  • The distance between the up center line and the dn center line is 3.405m outside of the crossover.
  • Within the limits of the crossover the gauge is 1.432m
  • The distance between the up center line and the dn center line is 3.402m within the limits of the crossover.
  • Place a twists to convert from 1435 to 1432.

Can anyone provide some insight on this?

Thanks
