Cant Reports

 Hi all

I was wondering someone could help me regarding Cant Reports.

I am trying to create the following Cant report:-

  1. Existing Cant at 10m Intervals along the Center line.

To create this report I go to

    Geometry,

    I select the Center Line,

    Enable Include Cant Alignment

                10m Intervals

                            Apply

In the Reports, I go to Cant, CantXYZ.xls and the report is displayed.

Is there anyway of just displaying the 10m Stations?

What do the XYZ co-ordinates relate to?

Is there anyway of creating your own customs report so that I can only show the following columns, Station, Left/Right Cant?

  • It has been a while since I have used these reports but I believe that the XYZ coordinates are the coordinates of the centerline of your alignment (in 3D so it is taking in to account your profile as well). If you would like a custom report, just find the XML file on your hard drive for the report that you are looking at and make a copy of it. You can then open it up in a text editor and delete the sections that display the XYZ coordinates and save the file. Now when you go to your reports section, you will see your custom report (whatever you saved it as) and it should have just the columns that you want. It may take a little trial and error especially if you have never worked with XML but it is not overly complicated and you should be able to get what you want with minimal effort.

  • I modified one of the style sheets to just dump the interval stations.

    CantIncrementOnly.xsl
