Horizontal Curvature Diagram displaying points incorrectly.

Difficult to say what is going wrong from the picture. I saw several times such diagram just because the data were like that when displayed with the style and the scale used So, are the data wrong ? I mean what is the range of the radius value displayed. The 30000 scale can also be part of the reason.

The points by themselves are ok. This is the same curve from an .alg saved previous of the error appearing.

Using the same settings for horizontal curve diagram the curve displays correctly. 

This have me believe something has happened with the way PRT imports the cogo points?

The weird thing is as you can see from the top picture the northing and easting of the points is correct. So it must be something else.

Im drawing a blank.

 

oh and the radii of this particular curve is 400m ish

I have found what happens, but not why it happens.

PRT states it has succesfully imported the points. And as you can see there is decimals to the northing, easting and elevation. 

But the resulting import looks like this:

Decimals lost and all values rounded down.

 

Just a thought - the point names seem very long....

The Text Import Wizard is showing "." as the decimal separator, but the Report is formatting with a ",". So that tells me that the OS decimal separator is a ",", so when the Text Import Wizard encounters a ".", it will truncate the numbers.

The solution is to set the OS to the correct decimal separator and to ensure that the imported file is using that separator.
