Horizontal Regression

Horizontal Regression diagrams shows Point Nos along the X Axis...Does anyone know how can we get to show Chainages instead?

For short alignment designs point nos are ok but if we are dealing with significantly long alignments, its better to have chainages shown as all other information, such as bridges, platforms etc will be represented by chainages...

  • Hello!
I want to help, but I don't know what Point Nos means. Can you explain and shaw what is "Chainages" too.

  • As far as I know there is no way to use the station as an ID for the point instead of the point number, or add the station to the text annotation of the point. Anyway you can add axis annotation with stationing.
A workaround is also to create a profile superimpose to the diagram to be able to use simultaneous tracking (you need also a dummy profile like a single straight to use tracking on profile). Then you can get the station of the point.
But if it is during the horizontal design, stations are continuously changing based on the elements.
If it is for the deliverable, then no easy answer. Maybe starting from COGO points where you can manage name and description.
