Plan Profile Generator - Elevation Shift

Question

Hi All, 
 I am trying to generate profiles using PPG. Profiles are 500m sections and and H to V exag is 5. Surface is a little bit tricky with many steep changes and profile elevation shifts does not work even i go for left major tick spacing 1 it says it will not fit in. Top clearance is 0 and bottom is 20. 
 I rather not increase profile height, it is my last resort. Any suggestions about that would be great. 
 One other thing that would work for me is to have profiles generated following the alignment elevation, is that possible?

I would first use "shift as required" not on major tick. You can shift according to alignment profile, or to be true the design surface. You have to add the design surface in the surface you want to see and highlight it on the dialog in the surface list (Profile control). then this surface will be used to shift the window

If you want to create a profile that follow the alignment elevation then you could create a temporary surface from the 3D line string of your alignment? 
 
As JPLN said, you can use the setting "Shift when needed" setting and then your profile window would move accordingly.
