  • Hi Prsahant,

Please use the civil or openrail  forum, where you will find help for these Bentley Application.

ALG, DTM, and XIN are files from Bentley InRoads and derivate products.

Are you trained with Bentley Power Rail Track?

    Look: http://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/

  • All these files are Rail Track files so they don't have to be imported but just opened through the Rail Track Files open command. The question is what do you want to do with the content ? Then it is when some training can help.

In Power Rail Track SS4 you can do everything you did in previous version in the same way except Corridor modelling and Create Cross section. Roadway Designer is no more available.

It means that if you want to do a corridor you must use Civil tools (new tools from Civil Tools task bar).

    • It means you need to import your ALG geometry in the DGN (2d), see General Geometry.
    • It means you need to import your dtm in a DGN (3d), see Terrain Model from File.
You will reference the dgn in your dgn created for the design
    • The XIN file is still used for all annotations (plan, profile and cross section). You can open any XIN but Feature Definitions often use the XIN (native style) to display elements. So you need to have some settings (DGNLINB with feature definition) built from your XIN file.
