For new users using the STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition software and for all existing users who are trying to get familiar with the new interface, we introduced a very effective tool search option that would allow you to locate any tool and access it quickly. 

You can simply type in the name of the tool you are looking for in the search box, as seen below, and it would bring up a number of related options. For example let’s say someone is trying to define a plate mat type support using a subgrade modulus. One can go to the search box and type support and all relevant options related to support will pop up

One can then select the option highlighted in the picture above and it would bring up the relevant dialog box as shown below, using which one can define the plate mat type support with an appropriate subgrade modulus value

So the beauty of the tool is, without even knowing how to access to the above dialog box through the new interface, you can simply use the tool search to get to it.

For those of you interested to know the actual location of the tool, you can simply hover the mouse over the option as shown in the next picture and it would show where you need to go, to access the feature.

If you follow the path as displayed in the picture above, you would be able to find the tool within the Interface as explained in the next picture
