How do I define or assign a timber material ? 

 

The timber material gets added/assigned automatically when you add/assign the cross section from the Timber section database. You do not need to assign material separately. In the picture below one can see the Materials getting defined along with the sections.

Also one can verify the material properties for the various timber sections added to the model, by looking at the input command file (Utilities > Command File) as shown next
