All assignments of the loads, members properties, etc. are written in a separate line in the STAAD Input file. Why is that?

This happens when the model is created on the machine, where a STAAD.Pro option "Write expanded list" is selected. In the start up page of STAAD.Pro go to Configure -> File Format and make sure that all check boxes (including 'Write expanded list') under the Input format section are unchecked:

Once these options are unchecked, open the model again and save it using the graphical user interface and some of the commands would go back to the original compact format. Unfortunately, some of the commands (i.e. loadings, member properties or design commands) will need to be removed manually and assigned again in the model to be written in the compact fashion rather than expanded.
