  • Hi Patrick,

    You can do this, by editing the "defmods.txt" file in the MX project folder. The following is an extract from the help - I searched for "model defaults" and a topic called"Automatic model defaults" was listed:

    Automatic Model Defaults
    You can automatically assign a style and feature set to a model when it is created provided you adhere to a particular model naming convention.

    To set up automatic model defaults, you must add the following entries to the file defmods.txt in your project folder:

    [Model Type Masks]
    Mask0=dtm
    Mask1=road

    [MASK=dtm]
    FeatureSet=PublicStyles\MfW Detail Survey.fns
    StyleSet=PublicStyles\MfW Detail Survey.pss

    [MASK=road]
    FeatureSet=PublicStyles\MXROAD.fns
    StyleSet=PublicStyles\MXROAD.pss

    From the above, any model starting with the letters DTM would be assigned the style and feature set MfW Detail Survey on creation. Any model starting with ROAD would be assigned the style and feature set MXROAD.

  • Hi all,

    Does any one know how to set the model default to Mx Road style & feature set. I am aware of how to set the model default using tools - model defaults. I am looking for something which will automaticall y give the model default as mx road.

     Any help would be great

    Thanks
