  • Symbols are not intended to be used to place blocks or cells. Symbols are used to place one of a series of built in symbols - which will actually be linestrings or polylines in the shape of the symbol. Alternatively, you can assign a single character of text as a symbol. In fact, theses are why there are a bunch of "symbol fonts" out there as years ago it was far more efficient to place a symbol font character than to place a cell.

On the InRoads in AutoCAD side, that option might not even exist.

Blocks are supposed to show up as cells, which it sounds like it is. If there are issues with conflicts of duplicate names, you might need to have only MS_BLOCKLIST defined and have MS_CELLLIST undefined.

I am able to insert cells by adding the *.dwg directory under "MS_BLOCKLIST", however I cannot use those cells under the "style manager"  (when I import a point I want the symbol inserted from the *.dwg directory)

They just are not showing up in the "style manager" under "Plan point".  They do show up under "insert cell"

Any help would be great.  I'm sure I am missing something simple.

    Thanks
