This project is a $630 million crushing plant in Western Australia.

T&G performed engineering design for steel, concrete, mechanical, electrical, ducting, structural, and civil works. T&G
streamlined the workflow by directly linking a 3D model to 2D drawings for design, review, and production of 2D shop detail drawings for construction, which occurred concurrently.

ProSteel was T&G’s primary software. Working with the 3D model enabled T&G to visualize and communicate design concepts, and perform clash detection.

ProSteel integrated seamlessly with other software, enabling T&G to add value for Fortescue Metals Group.

Modeling in 3D saved an estimated 30 percent in time compared to designing solely in 2D, with an overall cost savings of about 20 percent.
