Error in STAAD.Pro Analysis

  • Can anyone tell me what this error means...

    WARNING: IN UNIFORM MEMBER LOAD. ITEM "f3" NOT PROVIDED FOR MEMBER 14 CASE 2
    "f3" ASSUMED TO BE MEMBER LENGTH = 25.00
    WARNING: IN UNIFORM MEMBER LOAD. ITEM "f3" NOT PROVIDED FOR MEMBER 5 CASE 2
    "f3" ASSUMED TO BE MEMBER LENGTH = 25.00

    I don't have any idea what "f3" is....

  • Can you please attach the STAAD file or send it to support@bentley.com. Also, mention the version and build of the program you are using. You can find the same from Help>About STAAD pro

    You havent provided the parameter d2 in this. Hence, the warning to make you aware that load is provided for the whole elnght of the meber starting from a distance of 5 ft( which is d1)

    Build 04 of STAAD.Pro 2007 (officially known as STAAD.Pro V8i) has been released. I would request you to download and install the same and see if you are still encountering the problem.  It can be downloaded from

    The attached pictures shown the steps for downloading and installing it. The installation guide "quickstart.pdf" is also attached in the zip file.


    Please note that you need to uninstall the previous build completely from Control Panel > Add Remove Programs before installing the latest one. Also ensure that you are logged in as administrator throughout the process
