To place slab flushing either the top or bottom of beam on one side can be do so by assigning member offset command to the beam but to make the slab flushing differently on other side is a rigorous process and can be done creating nodes accordingly. But all these are fun. In reality one is hardly required to model like this excepting some cases in which very high precision of analysis may be required.
Hi everyone!
I'm hoping someone here can answer this for me - I'm trying to model 2 slabs which are joined by a beam. My problem is that neither slab meets the centre of the beam. One slab meets the top of the beam and the other meets the bottom of the beam (ie, there's a change in level), Can this type of situation be modelled in Staad?
Thanks in advance!
