Whether the analysis result i.e BM, Shear force, direct stress etc. would be affected in Staad pro with the variation in the input value for the modulus of elasticity. Please advise.
sureshprsharma,
The analysis result will be different for different modulus of elasticity since STAAD.Pro is stiffness analysis program. The general formula of stiffness is AE/L, as the modulus of elasticity increases the stiffness also increases since the modulus of elasticity is part of the numerator.
Hope it helps.

I have tried today by inputting a different value for E. It does not affect the bending moment and shear force. What is affected is deflection of the members.
For bending moment, the E is not important - if it is the same for all the members in a model.
If you have a few members in a model, try changing only E for one of them, and look at results.
Its the basics of structural analysys
Actually I prepared two models, one for E corresponding to M20 concrete and another for M30 grade of concrete and compared the bending moment and shear force for the two models for the same load case and found no difference. Difference was in deflection at various sections of the beam.
you dont understand me:
In ONE model, assign M20 concrete to one member, and M30 concrete to all the other members
Than you will understand.
Alternatively, post your model and i will show you.
