Hi,
Any one guide me in, How to import Staad model in SAP2000.
Also please clarify me what are the details can import in SAP2000 (like Model, Loads, Supports, Properties etc.,)
From STAAD.Pro, you can export a .STD file to the .DXF andCIS/2 (.STP file extension) formats. These are two widely used formats whichare recognized by most stress analysis software.
Through a .DXF file, only the structure geometry information can beimported/exported. But with the CIS/2 file, in addition to the geometryinformation, you can export structural information like section sizes, supportconditions, member and material specification, loads, etc. So, you needto check if one of these two file formats can be imported in SAP 2000.

Actually, Staad Models can be directly imported into SAP/ETABS... But it is not fool proof... Once you import it, you should check the error log to see whether all input data are taken correctly... In ETABS, you can go to Import and select GT STRUDL/STAAD model. Hope SAP also is similar...
