How do I display the bending moment diagram and the values on that diagram, or shear forces or Axial forces?

First you must Analyze the file. Go to Analysis and Design -> Run Analysis in the ribbon menu of STAAD.Pro.  After the analysis of the file is completed, click on the Done button.

Next, we go to the Postprocessing workflow to view the forces and results graphically.

The next step is to go to the Postprocessing workflow to view the deflection values graphically. Remember that if your analysis is not successfully completed (for reasons such as errors in your input data), you will not be able to access the Postprocessing workflow.

By default, the deflection diagram always opens up in the post processing screen of STAAD.Pro.

To view the Bending Moment Diagrams, select the Beam Results page at the top of the model. From the ribbon menu, choose Results -> Annotate. Under Ranges, choose All (the All button means the Bending moment diagram will be displayed for all members).

Under the Beam Results tab, you will see the options Bending, Shear, Axial, Displacement and Stresses.
Make the appropriate choice.

Click on the Annotate button. Then click on the close button.

Here are a group of of other options to view BMD, SFDs

To view the bending moment diagram for individual members you may go to the Results > Layouts > Graphs option in the ribbon menu and the BMD, SFD and axial force diagrams for the member would be displayed on the right.

Alternately you may also double click on any member to bring up the query box and go to the Shear Bending tab to see the bending moment or shear force diagrams for that member.
