Overview

This document describes Bentley's Software Support Policy corresponding to Microsoft's operating system cycles.

Bentley Application Support Lifecycle (Effective May 24, 2011)

Bentley does not support its software running on Microsoft operating systems versions that Microsoft has "retired."
Microsoft has already deprecated support for Windows XP and will “retire” it in 2014. For more information on Microsoft's application retirement policy, click here.
Bentley will truncate support for V8 2004 Edition applications in 2014.
Bentley's Windows 7-specific development and support are for V8i only.

FAQ

Will I still be able to use my Bentley application if no support is offered?

Yes. Support status does not affect licensing status.

I am using a Bentley application that is not commercially released on my operating system. Can I get support?

Support is not provided for Bentley applications that are not commercially released. However, if the issue is not related to the operating system, support will be available.
