Dear Cerver,

thank You for your answer and your understanding of issues beginners deals with.

After creating complex b-spline I would like to manage it for panelization.

Also i wish to offset complex b-spline surface in 3d so it can create multi-layered effects (and hopefully a unique component in-between two surfaces)

Here are the picture from my research on b-spline surface which is not that complicated as 'filleted box' surface

That shape above is understandable for GC but i'm looking for something more in-between traditional architecture,

so the blob above is too outrageous.

I tried to create complex b-spline surface out of simple filleted box,

so it can be further panelized and offseted. When I get 22 b-spline surfaces as an result - instead of just one to panelize or offset -

it appears just insane to work with.

I am trying to read geometry from i.dgn files. I am able to read some basic geometries. But facing some problem with cells. Please somebody help me.

My logic is as follows :

while i run analysis for water hammer protection on Hammer V8i i used a surge valve to anticipate the vapor volume and the pressure transient

but when i added two surge valve parallel refering as a practical example here in our region pump station i have got a negative pressure

is this the right way to simulate more than surge valve connected together or it dosent worth to install many of them and one is enough like the model has resulted ?

In my office we use V8i SS 2. I have noticed that most computers has the ability to show the Keypoint Snap Divisor dialog box, but some do not. Why does this happen and how am I able to turn on the setting for it show up when I press the letter "K"?

Cell range appears to be fine...

mdlElmdscr_add/append calls mdlElmdscr_validate. mdlElmdscr_validate does nothing if edP->h.isValid is already set. Functions like mdlElmdscr_replaceElement will clear the isValid bit so that validate will know to correct complex header ranges. Depending on what you do in a mdlModify_ callback to a nested component it might not crawl back to invalidate the outermost header, so validate wouldn't know that component ranges have changed. In this case you'd need to explicitly clear the isValid flag. That's why element range might have been the culprit...but it's moot, since range is ok.

NOTE: You really can't tell anything about a cell's range from it's edit handles, these don't use the range for anything. Since an element's range is rounded up to whole uor values, it's not useful for presenting scale handles that exactly fit the geometry..

So does this initial display problem only occur when placing the initial cell into an empty model?
