What does it mean when the Bookmark icon turns red?

In the upper right of this page (or any other page) there are icons for Notifications, Messages, and Bookmarks.
A lot of the time, my Bookmark icon displays as red. I have been assuming that means that there is some update to one of my bookmarks, but there is no other indication of which bookmark may be altered.

Is that really what the red color symbolizes? If so, could I please have some other sign of which bookmark has updates so I don't have to search randomly through them all?
If not, what does the red color stand for?

Thank you.

  • Hello MaryB,

The red color indicates that you have at least one piece of "content" in your bookmarks list. When you click it from the top-right corner, you will see there are buttons to show content, application, community and User. If a piece of content is bookmarked (such as a forum thread), the icon will turn red.
