Mention another Be Communities Member

In your post, you can mention another Be Communities member.  By mention, I mean type @Member Name.  For example, I can mention myself .  The mention provides fast access to that person's profile.

However, that tip doesn't work when the member name contains non-ASCII characters.  For example, I often want to mention Jan Šlegr in my posts to the Programming Forum.  When I start typing @Jan Š... the lookup process gives up: it can't cope with the Scaron (accented capital S).

  • Hi Jon,

Thanks for the report. I have contacted the Communities platform team about this (reference #1072659) and will plan to keep you updated.

  • Hi Jon just a quick update on this. The platform team is considering this a defect (reference # TE-15190) which they will look into for a future version. I do not have an estimate at this time for when we'll see a resolution.
