Ideas section

I'm just curious here. What drives the mix-platform approach when it comes to collecting ideas?

MS ideas was recently separated from communities platform:

https://microstation.ideas.aha.io/ideas

While other idea sections are still hosted within communities:

https://communities.bentley.com/communities/other_communities/bentley_institute/i/

https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/i/staad

Also, there's nothing stopping me to submit multiple votes for an idea hosted on aha.io. I just need to register with another email address. So what's the point for voting when votes can be easily manipulated?

Best regards,

Tuan Le

  • Hello Tuan,

Thank you for reaching out. Multiple Bentley products roadmaps are managed or in the migration process to be managed in Aha. Ideas shared via https://microstation.ideas.aha.io/ideas are easily linked with ongoing planning, existing projects and/or bugs/enhancements.

Myself and the MicroStation product management team believe that the current portal helps accelerate our consideration, planning and eventual delivery of ideas (and feedback to users).

We are working on enabling single sign-on for https://microstation.ideas.aha.io/ideas, so you will only be able to vote with your Bentley log-in details. For now, any manipulated votes are controlled by the admin, as well as filtered by Aha's spam features. So please refrain from adding multiple votes to your own ideas. They will not be considered.

I hope this helps. And thank you again for reaching out.

    Best regards,

    Eduardo L

  • Thanks Eduardo. It's just weird to me seeing things moved from an established platform to one without any checks.
