I wish to get the default internet browser and the following code works from a BAT file.
However I don't know how to obtain the result?
SET Key=HKLM\Software\Clients\StartMenuInternet:: Get the full path to the browserFOR /F "tokens=3*" %%A IN ('REG QUERY "%Key%" /s') DO ECHO %%B
Attached is a batch file I created that will determine the default browser and display the path to the executable. The batch file has been commented to show what is happening and why. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I tested it with Internet Explorer, FireFox, and Google Chrome. To use it, change the extension of the attached file from txt to bat.
