i starting a new project on AECOsom SS6 and the project will be using Dynamic Views (DV's) instead of extracted 2d drawings.
i work as a mechanical consultant and will want to reference the architects background files with overrides set to a dark grey, so that the building services are clearly visible. So far that i can see, it is very difficult to control the dynamic view when it is controlled by others.
firstly, when i create the project workspace, should i copy the uk database into it, will that give me more control over the database?
Secondly i am having difficulty setting overrides to DV's set up by other designers (architects/structural etc) i need their DV's to appear dark grey. The way theworkflow is: 3d models referenced to discipline specific master files where DV's are created. The DV is a separate 2d model file which is then referenced to a drawing sheet file model space together with all other DV's: structural/architectural/mechanical etc. i want the architects and structural file, color and line weights overrides to set to suit my purposes.
